The Vienna Club Commission is a free service institution for all players in the Viennese club and event scene. We give workshops for club owners and promoters, usng focus groups to collect information from the different stakeholders of the night. We also talk to journalists to raise awareness of Vienna’s vibrant club scene.

How would you describe the Viennese club and events scene?

The Viennese club and event scene is very passionate and committed to a diversity of event formats created for the city and its communities – from the experimental niche to the mainstream.

What makes it unique in comparison to other European cities?

We have the so called ‘Zwischennutzungsprojekte’, meaning we have access to very old buildings such as the Schloss Cobenzl or the Zukunftshof – which is an old farm! These buildings are intended for temporary or longer-term use due to vacancy. So for a specific period of time, these buildings – some of which are over 100 years old – are used for cultural and club events.
